Zooroo began with a difficult choice.

I had a small Chihuahua named Noodle, and like many pet owners, I faced a decision I never wanted to make. I didn’t want to neuter him. Not because I was careless, but because I believed there had to be another way. A responsible way. A humane way.

But reality pressed in.

If I couldn’t find Noodle a suitable mate, I would eventually have no choice. And that’s when the struggle began.

I searched everywhere. Social media posts disappeared into the noise. Forums were scattered. Breeders were hard to reach or guarded. What should have been a simple, respectful process felt unnecessarily complicated, disorganized, and discouraging.

Then I watched a friend, Johnathan, go through the same struggle while trying to find a mate for his French bulldog.

That’s when it became clear.
